Manga = Japanese Comics
Can be read in 2 ways. Some can be read from left to right, but those printed in the Japanese format are read from right to left. Same thing with the panels how they are laid out. They are read from right to left, top to bottom.
There is a rating system to help guide people for which manga is good for a particular age range. Most anime and manga are for Teens and Older. There are some manga that is appropriate for children. When shopping for manga, most sites will inform the customer of the age rating of the book, just like with media such as DVD’s, music, etc. When reading manga online (weither pirated, scanlations, or illegal) or in legal digital formatting for Kindle and other mobile devices, it will not always inform the reader of the age rating for the title.
Ratings on Manga:
T+ = Teen
Mostly for Teens:
The Ancient Magus’ Bride (this one is a bit more for older teens, I would think.)
Baby and Me
Happy, Happy Clover (This one is really for kids)
La Corda d’Oro
MegaMan NT Warrior
Nastume’s Book of Friends
Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan
